Real Estate is proud to sponsor our 2^nd Annual Community Yard Sale on May 14^th, 2011 from 8am – 12pm in the Rent-E-Quip parking lot located at 2600 Boulevard Colonial Heights, VA 23834 as a way of saying thanks and giving just a little something back to the local community.  Shop til you drop, then grab a snack at the bake sale.  Bring the kids along, there will be activities for them too.  All proceeds will benefit Tri Cities Habitat for Humanity.

I regularly volunteer my time to various organizations and events.  One of my favorite ways to do so is through the Tri Cities Habitat for Humanity Organization.  http://www.tchfh.org/

Several of my team-mates at Harris & Associates and myself, along with a few of our family and friends, have pitched in to help rehab a local area home along side the new homeowners.  Our next work day is this coming Friday, March 25th.  I have learned so much and had a great time in the process.  It really is a lot of fun!

You may not know this, but Habitat has what they call a Restore, where they accept donations of items that can be used in the rehab and construction of these homes.  Anything from appliances, to vanities, to lighting fixtures, etc.  They even have a delivery truck that can be scheduled to pick up your donated items.  Check them out at http://www.tchfh.org/restore/

I love to further my education.  Many of you may know that I continually seek higher education in addition to continuing education in the real estate industry.  I am pleased to announce that I received my recertification today for the VHDA Train The Trainer program.  I have been a qualified trainer in the VHDA Homeownership Education Program for several years.  This is just one more way that I am able to assist my clients and the community through my career. 

Local Richmond band, Whisper To Baxwell, will headline The National RVA April 9th, 2011.  Tickets are only $10.  Doors open at 6:30pm.  Support local live music.
